So...I requested Car # 13 designation for the GT. I have lots of reasons. Is my lucky number...was my Google employee #, date (April) that I first asked my ex on a date in college and married her on April 13, 6 years later. I want to take that # back for me. This April 13 is the 13th anniversary of that first date.
Aside from raising awareness for WHF..this is my 35th birthday gift to myself, my divorce milestone marker (will be final in a week or so), and the "celebration?" of it would-have-been 13 years with the ex.
So...Gumball 3000 said they would oblige. I found out today that in order to make that happen...my car # had to be "wrestled" from Hulk Hogan! Sorry dude...please dont be pissed!!! I'll buy you a drink or something :-)
What the hell have I gotten myself into?
Let me go ahead and say you have a real gift for writing. I almost never read for pleasure unfortunately, although, admittedly I do occasionally write for a couple local newspapers. For some reason I find the act of writing much more enjoyable than the process of reading.
Introductions aside, this entry prompted my response because my lucky number is also 13. Originally I chose it because my mom was born on April 13, then I chose 13 as my jersey number in school because it allowed my fans and spectators to consistently look for the same number regardless of the sport. Many years later, my lucky number has remained and with each passing day seems increasingly efficacious (sorry for the big word, it is one of my favorites).
Sorry to hear about your bad luck on the rally, I am keeping my fingers crossed that the generous young man you encountered in Athens will allow you to borrow his vehicle and finish the rally as it was intended.
